A Winthrop man will be in court Monday after he allegedly exposed himself to a father and young boy inside a Revere Beach bathroom this weekend.
Clifford Avery, 44, was faces charges including indecent exposure, assault and battery and resisting arrest, according to state police.
Police were called to the Shirley Avenue bathhouse at Revere Beach at about 5:40 p.m. Saturday for a report of an assault. While there, troopers learned that a father and his 5-year-0ld son were in the restroom when a man walked in and exposed himself before fleeing.
Troopers were able to locate the man, later identified as Avery, and began to chase him along the Blue Line tracks, state police said. Blue Line service was interrupted for a brief time during the chase.
The father and boy were not physically harmed.
Avery will be arraigned Monday in Chelsea District Court.
