Police said a man was found bound and beaten to death in his Queens home Wednesday afternoon.
Noel Hidalgo, 58, was found with his hands bound behind his back and a fatal head injury about 3:40 p.m. in his Richmond Hill home, police said.
He had suffered blunt force trauma to the back of the head, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A broken lamp and a portable car battery charger spattered with blood were lying next to Hidalgo on the floor. Police said it's unclear if an object was used to beat him.
Police said neighbors reported hearing an argument from Hidalgo's apartment at 1:30 a.m., roughly 14 hours before he was found when family went looking for him.
No arrests have been made and police said the investigation is ongoing.
