A man was hit and killed by an F train Monday morning at the 4th Avenue and NinthStreet station in Brooklyn.

The man, who has not yet been identified by authorities, was hit by an on-coming southbound train, said MTA spokesman Kevin Ortiz.

The FDNY received thecall at 9:19 a.m. and responded one minute later, according to an FDNY spokeswoman, and found the rider dead on arrival.

No further details were available early Monday afternoon. A police department spokesman said the man had not been identified, nor the reason he ended up in the tracks.

Train service was suspended between Jay and Church Streets for about an hour after the incident, Ortiz said. Southbound service was fully restored around 11:30 a.m., and trains are now running normally.
