A man was electrocuted in the Christopher Street subway station yesterday, after he touched the third rail.
The man, who has not been identified, dropped something along the tracks and tried to recover it when he was electrocuted by the high-voltage rail,WPIX-TVreports.
The incident occurred during the afternoon rush aabout 3:28 p.m., authorities toldDNAInfo.com.
The 1 and 3 lines were shut down while the authorities looked into the man’s death.
Last month, a Bronx man waskilled by an incoming trainas he tried to retrieve his fallen cell phone.
