The Seal Beach Police Department and the NYPD identified the man in these surveillance photos as the suspect who cops say scammed an 86-year-old widowed grandmother out of $30,000 by convincing her that her grandson was in danger.
These photos are from a FedEx center in a downtown Sheraton Hotel. The suspect told the grandmother to send the money to that location, addressed to Matthews Jones.
Anyone with information about the man pictured in the surveillance photos from the FedEx is asked to call or e-mail Seal Beach Police Detective Mary Martinez at 562-799-4100 extension 1110 or mmartinez@sealbeachca.gov.
