A man called 911 around 3:31 p.m. Thursday afternoon and told the operator that there was a bomb on board an N train approaching Times Square.

The caller said the train would arrive in the station in five minutes.

Police deduced the call was made from a pay phone at West 48th Street and 7th Avenue.

They were able to track down a photo of a suspect, who they describe as a white male between the ages of 20 and 30 with blondish hair, carrying a black backpack.

The NYPD urges anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). All calls are confidential.
