Manslaughter charge for driver who fatally struck pedestrian in Harlem

Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the crash that killed a pedestrian in Harlem on Sunday morning.

Prince Julien, of Brooklyn, struck and killed Willie Zachary, 65, as he attempted to cross St. Nicholas Avenue between 131st and 132nd Streets about 10 a.m., police said.

Zachary was pronounced dead at the scene.

Julien remained at the scene. He was later charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while impaired by alcohol, police said.
