Festivals and neighborhood events will cause traffic delays and street closures in New York City this weekend.

There will also be a full weekend closure on the Brooklyn Bridge, with Manhattan-bound lanes shutting down from midnight Friday to 6 a.m. Monday. This could cause delays in the Battery Tunnel and Manhattan and Williamsburg bridges.

The Department of Transportation and NYPD said there may be residual delays near all of the street closures on July 18, 19 and 20.

Friday, July 18

The DOT Weekend Walks South Slope Summer Strolls will close Fifth Avenue between 12th and 18th streets in Brooklyn from 5 to 9 p.m.

Third Avenue between 69th and 80th streets in Brooklyn will be closed for DOT Weekend Walks Summer Stroll on Third from 6 to 10 p.m.

Saturday, July 19

Amsterdam Avenue between West 96th and West 106th streets will be closed from 12 to 5 p.m. for the Valley Restoration LDC-Amsterdam Avenue Festival.

From 12 to 5 p.m., Seventh Avenue between 10th and 13th Streets in Brooklyn will be closed for the DOT Weekend Walks 7th Avenue Summer.

DOT Weekend Walks Bronx Summer Walks on Burnside Avenue will close West Burnside Avenue between Davidson and Jerome avenues between 12 and 5:30 p.m.

Van Duzer Street between Beach and Wright streets on Staten Island will be closed from 1 to 6 p.m. for the DOT Weekend Walks Van Duzer Days.

Sunday, July 20

The Motion Picture Club Movie Day Festival will close Broadway between West 47th and West 57th streets from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. the DOT Weekend Walks Explore Chinatown Mid-Summer Festival will close Mott Street between Canal Street and Chatham Square.
