A Mashpee tanning salon owner was indicted Friday on 22 charges of videotaping female patrons.
Luis Macedo, 48, was indicted on charges of photographing an unsuspecting nude person and two counts of posing/exhibiting a child in a lewd and lascivious fashion, the Cape Cod Times reports. According to police, 12 to 13 people were spied on by Macedo, including one patron who was under the age of 18.
Macedo, who owns Sunsational Tanning in Hyannis with his daughter, was busted by police after a woman who visited the salon noticed a camera hidden in her tanning bed. After contacting authorities, police staged an undercover investigation during which they discovered Macedo videotaping women through a hole in the wall, according to court records.
After being shut down, the salon was purchased by new owners and reopened in March.
