Massachusetts’ ‘Most Wanted’: And then there were five

Florida is apparently the place to be for Massachusetts probationers fleeing from the courts.

Authorities yesterday tracked down and captured two more of the state’s “most wanted” probationers in Florida.

Daniel Sullivan, 28, of Lynn, was wanted for possession of firearms. He was arrested in Clermont, Fla.

James Locklear, 54, with a last known address in Florida, was caught in Miami. He was wanted for rape of a child and indecent assault and battery.

Both men were caught with the help of tips from the public, authorities said.

Yesterday’s arrests came on the heels of two arrests last week.

John Brine, 41, whose last known address was in Roslindale, was woken up Thursday morning and arrested by state police from Massachusetts and Maine. Brine was wanted for charges including assault and battery of a disabled person over 60 years old.

Another “most wanted” violator, Samuel Nelson, 23, with a last known address of Dorchester, was caught by a plainclothes T Police sergeant at Andrew station Friday morning.

The officer saw a woman “piggy back” on Nelson’s fare to get through the gate. When he stopped them she said, “Oh no, oh my God, he is wanted don’t arrest him please,” according to a police report.
