A Massachusetts woman died after falling out of a golf cart being driven by an intoxicated man at a wedding reception in Indiana.
NWI.com reports that Jennifer Welch and Jason Pelton were driving downhill in a golf cart after leaving a wedding reception when the cart began to vibrate andWelch fell off, Pelton told police. He said he and the another man initially thought she was joking with them, but they turned around and drove back to Welch, where they found her bleeding and unconscious, according to the police report.
Jennie Welch, 25, who lived in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, died of head injuries at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, NWI.com reported.
Pelton was found to have a .13 blood alcohol level, and was subsequently arrested on a charge of felony drunken driving causing serious injury.
