Matt Kravchuk: Controversy again for b-ball player

The former Holy Family University basketball player who was at the center of a controversy that forced his coach to resign was arrested Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park for allegedly stealing two beverages.

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA— The former Holy Family University basketball player who was at the center of a controversy that forced his coach to resign was arrested Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park for allegedly stealing two beverages.

Authorities said Matt Kravchuk, 19, reached behind the counter at a Phillies concession stand and took the drinks. He is charged with retail theft. Police would not say whether they were alcoholic beverages.

Kravchuk sued former coach John O'Connor after O'Connor shoved him during practice in January, which was caught on videotape. The coach was not criminally charged, but apologized during an appearance on "Good Morning America."
