A Mega Millions ticket sold in Northeast Philadelphia hit over the weekend for $5 million, lottery officials said.
The ticket, sold at Pratt Check Cashing on the 1500 block of Pratt Street in Frankford, hit on the Jan. 3 drawing. The ticket correctly matched all five white balls - 22-24-25-40-70 - but not the yellow Mega Ball 05.
Twenty-five percent is withheld by the federal government.
Pratt Check Cashing will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The winning-ticket holder has one year from the drawing date to claim the prize. They are asked to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of Lottery’s seven area offices, according to a news release.
