A group of up to four men, dressed as utility workers, tricked their way into a North Philadelphia home Thursday afternoon by convincing the 64-year-old homeowner there was a problem with the water, then beat and robbed the man and his girlfriend.
The suspects tied up and repeatedly pistol-whipped the victims., NBC10 reports.
The crime happened on the 400 block of West Sedgley Avenue.
The suspects -- three, maybe four, men -- were wearing green uniforms. They fled with about $300, two cell phones and the monitor from the home's security surveillance cameras.
