Michael Ice: One man killed, and another injured, on subway

One man was killed and another injured in two separate subway incidents this weekend.

Police say Michael Ice, 22, was hit by a downtown 6 train as he was walking on the tracks of the Spring St. station in Soho just before 6 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Ice of Rye, NY, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police do not suspect any criminality.

In a separate incident, a 62-year old man was shoved onto the tracks in Times Square on Saturday morning.

Police say Andrew Lessey, 29, a homeless man, pushed Louis Corchado, 62, onto the tracks of the 2, 3 Times Square stop just after 5 a.m. on Saturday.

Corchado was able to climb back onto the platform with the help of fellow straphangers before the next train arrived, police said.

Corchado was treated at Bellevue hospital for cuts to his face and injuries to his arms and legs and Lessey was charged with reckless endangerment and assault.
