Microsoft has chosen Philadelphia as the North American showcase city for its CityNext initiative, the city announced today.
CityNext is an effort to spark innovation and encourage leaders to rethink how technology will affect our lives in the future, according to the corporation.
Philadelphia will receive at least three years of support from Microsoft, "including the Microsoft Partner Network of more than 430,000 technology experts, to help the city accelerate its ability to adopt innovative technologies," according to a news release.
