The first full business day after a stormy President's Day weekend will bring even more snow to the Boston area, as much as 4 inches, according to local forecasters.
“For Tuesday’s storm, the higher amounts will be to the west near Worcester and up into the Monadnock region with around 6 inches,” National Weather Service meteorologist Charlie Foley told the Globe. “There’s a possibility of snow mixing with rain south of Boston near the Cape, which will hold accumulations down to 1 to 2 inches there.”
Tuesday's snow is expected to begin in the late morning, bringing between 2 and 4 inches by 7 p.m., according to the weather service.
But it's not all bad weather news for Boston this week.
Snow will give way to rain Wednesday before the region warms up Friday to 50 degrees.
