A few inches of snow might make Wednesday’s commute difficult.

Another dusting of snow is expected to arrive in New York City just in time for Wednesday’s commute.
Up to 2 inches of snow is expected to fall in the five boroughs Wednesday, beginning between 3 a.m. and daybreak, according to the National Weather Service.
“Even though it’s a light event, it could impact rush hour,” weather service meteorologist Tim Morrin said.
The light snow is caused by a quick-moving system with “very little moisture,” Morrin said, along with the migration of the polar vortex.
The snow should stop by lunchtime, but will likely stick because temperatures will be in the low 20s throughout the day. A high of 31 degrees is expected Wednesday.
“It is going to get progressively colder this week,” Morrin added.
Beyond the midweek storm, the weather service doesn’t expect more snow through Friday, so the city likely won’t beat the record for the most snow in February.
So far this month, 28.8 inches of snow has been recorded in Central Park, making this the second-snowiest February on record. The current record of 36.9 inches was set in 2010.
