Delaware State Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who allegedly crashed into a motorcyclist Tuesday night, critically injuring the victim.
Investigators said 26-year-old Bryan Adams, of Rising Sun, Md., was riding a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle in the left lane of Capitol Trail in Newark around 10:45 p.m.
As Adams approached Polly Drummond Hill Road, police said a vehicle in front of the man slowed, causing him to slam his motorcycle into the rear of the car.
Adams, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle and rushed to Christiana Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.
Authorities said the vehicle Adams rear-ended fled the scene.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing its investigation into the crash and asking for the public's help in identifying the fleeing vehicle, which is described as a truck or sports utility vehicle with rear damage.
