MTA: No timeline for R train restoration

Nearly a month since Hurricane Sandy hit NYC, the R train is still not running between Brooklyn and 34th Street in Manhattan, and the MTA is uncertain about when they can have it up and running again. An MTA spokesperson said they have no timeline, but are aiming for 7-14 days. The tunnel for that line, the Montague Tunnel, experienced significantly worse flooding than other tunnels, and there is still a lot of work to be done to repair and replace damaged signal and electrical components in the tunnel specifically.
