The MBTA driver who drove her bus off of a bridge over the Massachusetts Turnpike reportedly wants her license back.
Shanna Shaw was fired from the MBTA after she left the bus dangling over the Mass Pike in Newton in May.
Shaw reportedly asked the Registry of Motor Vehicles hearing board Thursday to ask that her license to be reinstated.
Shaw was allegedly texting when the crash occurred. The MBTA has a zero-tolerance policy against using technology while operating vehicles.
Shaw claimed through her attorney Attorney Michael Neuner that she needs her license to care for her family, to seek employment and so she can move forward with her life.
The decision is expected in 10 days.
Shaw is also facing an obstruction of justice criminal charge for allegedly lying to investigators.
