New Yorkers challenged to reusable bag challenge during BYOBag week

Plastic bags are out if you’re participating in BYOBag week.

Community groups are challenging New Yorkers to go a week without using plastic or paper bags.

BYOBag week starts Monday, Sept. 15 and continues through Sunday, Sept. 21. The challenge in part supports the passage of a 10 cent fee for carryout bags in grocery stores.
