Not all trick-or-treaters wear full Halloween costumes. A few members of New York’s Outdoor Co-Ed Topless Pulp Fiction Appreciation Society visited Lincoln Center wearing a few Halloween accessories, but no bras.

The group describes itself as people “who love good books and sunny days and enjoying both as nearly in the altogether as the law allows.” New York law allows men and women to be topless, and members can be spotted in Central Park in the summer reading sans tops. A member of the group told Metro, “In the three years we’ve been meeting around town, we’ve never had any problem with police officers — not once. Nor should we, since what we’re doing is perfectly legal.” The source added that a security guard stopped them when they were taking photos, saying that the plaza was private property.

It appears the group had been planning their “trick” for at least a day: Yesterday, they tweeted, “What, oh what, to do to celebrate Halloween…? We have some ideas…”

The source told Metro that six people from the society walked around Lincoln Center between noon and 1 p.m., and then went to the farmer’s market across the street for apple cider. She said they decided to go out today mostly because of the warm weather, but a few of them did add some Halloween touches to their un-costumes.
