Police are looking for a suspect who sucker-punched a Long Island man in front of the Bowery Mission in lower Manhattan early Sunday morning.
A 23-year-old man was on the Bowery when a man approached him from behind in front of the homeless shelter around 2:25 a.m. Sunday.
Police said the suspect struck the man with a closed fist before fleeing on foot. The man lost consciousness, waking up later in Bellevue Hospital with a broken jaw.
The attack was captured by surveillance video. Police describe the assailant as black and in his 20s.
