A man was in custody after police said he stabbed his father to death and critically injured his mother during a domestic dispute on the Upper West Side on Tuesday morning.
Cops nabbed the 27-year-old son on East 96th Street, near his Upper East Side home, after attacking his parents inside their residence on Columbus Avenue at West 97th Street before 6 a.m., police said.
His 71-year-old father was found with stab wounds to the face and chest, and was pronounced dead at the scene. His mother, 56, was found stabbed in the chest and rushed to St. Luke's hospital in critical but stable condition.
Investigators believe the man stabbed his parents after a domestic dispute.
Police said he was being questioned Tuesday morning and charges are pending. The investigation is ongoing.
