Young women asked for directions before robbing four people during an hourlong spree in upper Manhattan last month, police said.

The four women, believed to be between 16 and 20 years old, robbed three men and a woman from 8 to 8:50 a.m. on May 26 in Washington Heights and Inwood, according to the NYPD. Police said they stole cash, credit cards, jewelry and cell phones from the victims.

In the robbery scheme, one of the women would approach the victim and ask for directions, police said. While the victim tried to give the woman directions, he or she was surrounded by three other women who stole from them, the NYPD said.

No injuries were reported in any of the robberies.

The suspects include two black women and two Hispanic women, believed to be 5-foot-5, police said.

Police are hoping to catch the women with surveillance footage taken from the third robbery in front of 630 W. 170th Street.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), submit a tiponlineor text 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577.
