A person was killed this morning on I-93 North in Woburn after a box truck and a passenger car collided, backing up commuter traffic.

Police closed two lanes of traffic to investigate the fatal accident, which happened near Exit 37C just before 10 a.m., according to state police.

The box truck rolled over before coming to rest to the right of the highway. The condition of the person in the passenger car was not immediately clear.

Later, about 10:45 a.m., state police said a garbage truck crashed on I-93 south. No injuries were reported, but that accident also impacted traffic.

The two crashes came just hours after a Rhode Island woman crashed into a MassDOT tow truck while driving the wrong way on I-93 south.

Brenda Jarillo, 33, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. for driving under the influence, negligent operation, resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer, and other charges. She is also accused of leaving the scene of an accident after allegedly causing a crash in Quincy that resulted in the injury of an East Boston man.
