Just over 91,000 New Yorkers are fully enrolled in the state's health insurance exchange since it launched operation under the federal Affordable Care Act in October.
As of Monday morning, 50,119 have signed up for a private insurance plan and 40,984 have enrolled in Medicaid through NY State of Health marketplace, according to numbers released by the state Department of Health.
New York, which opted to create its own exchange, has the second-highest enrollment of any state, behind California.
Those who enroll by Dec. 23 will be insured in the first round of coverage beginning next year. Open enrollment ends March 31.
