Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was reportedly questioned by state and local police at his home Tuesday after a dead body was found less than a mile from his North Attleboro, Mass. home on Monday. Hernandez is not considered a suspect in the possible homicide at this time but Sports Illustrated said that the former University of Florida star may have had a connection to the deceased person.
Troopers were seen coming in and out of Hernandez's home Tuesday night.
The body of a 27-year-old male was reportedly found in an industrial yard Monday by a jogger. The Sports Illustrated report said that a rental car that was once under Hernandez's name is tied to the case.
Patriots spokesman Stacey James told ABC, “I am aware of the reports, but I do not anticipate that we will be commenting publicly during an ongoing police investigation.”
