Famed Harlem pizzeria Patsy's is opening its first outer-borough in Queens, the Daily News reported.
The head chef will be Robert Orrico, who apparently frequented Patsy's in his childhood.
"I have such high regard for the name and the product," Orrico said. "It's such an honor."
Pains have been taken to make sure the new location can live up to the original: proprietor Frank Brija reportedly "seasons" the new bricks for the Queens oven by letting them soak in the soot and aroma for the 80-year-old stove at the Harlem location.
Brija said they were compelled to move into Queens because of the borough residents frequenting the Harlem landmark.
"The demand was becoming so much from Queens, we had to," Brija said. "I do have butterflies. It's a new territory."
