A Peabody man turned himself over to police after he allegedly murdered his 23-year-old girlfriend.
Franklin Castano, 43, is charged with murder, the Essex district attorney’s office said Thursday. He is expected to be arraigned Friday.
Castano was arrested after he appeared at the Lynn Police station and apparently informed authorities of the murder.
“He appeared at the Lynn Police station, initiating a homicide investigation in Peabody [Thursday] morning,” the district attorney’s office said.
Authorities released no other information and said they are investigating.
