A person was hit by an MBTA commuter rail train in Framingham Friday morning.

The incident took place around 7:20 a.m. near Route 135 and Route 126 as the Framingham-Worcester line train was leaving the station, according to the Boston Globe.

The victim was taken by helicopter to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston with undisclosed injuries.

Traffic was being diverted in the area and the MBTA tweeted that trains between Framingham and Worcester were running at reduced speeds.
