Forecasts are calling for up to 6 inches of snow for parts of the Philadelphia area Monday in what could be the final round of winter weather for 2012-13.
Snow has already started falling in parts of the Delaware Valley, and is expected to continue, mixed with rain, into the evening hours.
The National Weather Service is calling for snow, heavy at times, until 2 p.m., when the precipitation is expected to shift to also include rain.
The storm comes on the fifth full day of spring.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for 1 to 3 inches of snow in Philadelphia during the day, with less than a 1/2 inch of additional accumulation at night before the storm ends.
More snow is expected east of the city. Parts of South Jersey could get close to 6 inches from the storm.
A high of 40 is expected, so roadways should remain free of accumulated snow.
