Philadelphia police are investigating two overnight shootings that took the lives of two young men.
Police had not released the men's identities as of Thursday morning.
The first deadly shooting occurred in North Philadelphia, on the 1700 block of Wylie Street just after 1 a.m. The 21-year-old victim was shot on the street, but was able to make it into a nearby home. He was pronounced dead at Hahnemann University Hospital around 4 a.m., police said.
Police had a person of interest in custody in the North Philadelphia shooting, but no charges have been filed.
The second deadly shooting occurred in West Philadelphia, on the 5600 block of Lansdowne Avenue. A 24-year-old man was shot multiple times in his torso just before 2 a.m. He died at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania a short time later.
No arrests were reported in the West Philadelphia shooting.
