Pending further tests, actor Philip Seymour Hoffman's cause of death remained undetermined Wednesday, according to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office.
Hoffman's autopsy was inconclusive. A toxicology screening is among the tests yet to be completed by the medical examiner, according to a source.
The Academy Award-winning actor's body was discovered Sunday in the bathroom of his West Village apartment, officials said. A law enforcement official said he was found with a needle in his arm, dead of what investigators believe was a drug overdose.
Dozens of bags of heroin were found the apartment, police said. Cops arrested four individuals Tuesday in connection with the drugs found in Hoffman's apartment.
