State police are investigating the crash that killed a Plymouth police motorcycle officer.

A Plymouth police officer was killed Tuesday when his motorcycle crashed in the South Shore town.
Officer Gregg Maloney died after being taken to Massachusetts General Hospital by helicopter, according to WCVB.
Maloney was riding his police motorcycle when it crashed Tuesday afternoon on Samoset Street.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash.
State police are investigating.
