A 16-year-old is in critical but stable condition after being shot early Sunday morning near an East Germantown Chinese takeout store.

Officers responded shortly after midnight to a report of a shooting on the 5600 block of Blakemore Street.

There, investigators found the victim, 16, lying on the floor of the North Garden Chinese takeout store.

He had been shot twice in the abdomen and once each in the back and right leg, according to police.

An investigation allegedly revealed the teen was not shot inside, but ran into the store after the shooting and collapsed.

Authorities said the victim, who was in a semi-conscious state, was taken by police to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was placed in critical but stable condition.

There is not yet word on a motive, and no arrests have yet been made.
