Philadelphia police arrested an East Mount Airy man for allegedly slashing his 7-year-old daughter's throat Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to a home on the 300 block of East Cliveden Street around 7:45 a.m.
There, they said they found a girl, 7, whose neck had been cut with a knife allegedly wielded by the child's father.
The girl was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center, then transferred to Saint Christopher's Hospital for Children, where she was in stable condition Wednesday.
Police said a man was taken into custody at the home, but as of Wednesday afternoon, he had not yet been formally charged.
