Transit Police said a man who had been out bar hopping had “a few beers too many,” when he tried to commandere an MBTA Silver Line bus in South Boston Saturday night.
A Silver Line bus was parked at the end of the line, on Silver Line Way in the South Boston Seaport, when the unidentified man climbed aboard around 10 p.m. and sat in the driver’s seat, the Boston Globe reports.
The man, who was not identified, was ordered to wait in the area for Transit Police. No charges were filed, and he was escorted out of the area by friends.
“Down the waterfront there, that’s the big hotspot there now,” Lieutenant Michael Shea told the Globe. “It’s kind of a nightclub area down there, a lot of bars and restaurants. It is what it is.”
