Police and at least one federal agent shot at a suspect who allegedly pointed a gun at them after he had fired his weapon inside a North Philadelphia city housing project early Monday morning.
The suspect, 31, was shot four times on the 4100 block of Stewart Street, where Philadelphia police, Philadelphia Housing Authority Police and at least one FBI agent caught up to him and a second person, described as a person of interest, 6ABC Action News reports.
Police reportedly believe the suspect, who is in critical condition, may have been involved in a murder in the city's Strawberry Mansion neighborhood Sunday morning.
The incident began before 3 a.m. when the suspect allegedly fired a gun inside the lobby to Blumberg Homes on the 1500 block of Judson Street. No one was injured there.
The suspect may have fired the gun a second time once authorities caught up to him on the 4100 block of Stewart Street, according to the report.
