Boston police have located the driver of the truck they say was involved in the hit-and-run that killed a cyclist in Charlestown on Thursday.
"As a result of an active and ongoing investigation, detectives have been able to locate and identify the vehicle involved in the accident. Additionally, the operator has been located and identified as well," the Boston Police Department said in a statement.
The vehicle, described as a white sanitation truck, was located on Thursday evening in Revere. Additionally, the truck's driver was identified as Ricky Prezioso, 41, of Swampscott. He has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident after causing death.
Several people told police they had seen a truck leaving the scene of the accident.
