Police looking for luggage to help solve East Boston assault

Boston police are asking for the public’s help locating a piece of luggage that may help them find the men responsible for a sexual assault in East Boston early Thursday morning.

A woman in her 40s carrying a rolling-luggage bag was forced into a car in the Jeffries Point about 6 a.m. and was sexually assaulted by two men.

The woman was found by police at the McKay School on Cottage Street. She was suffering from facial trauma and taken to a hospital.

She told police her attackers as Hispanic men. One was between 30 and 40 years old with a heavy build and a mustache. The second suspect was a man in his 20s with a thin build.

Thursday afternoon police released a photograph of the blue and gray bag the woman was carrying.
