A Queens man was struck and killed by a car while crossing a street late Saturday.
Police said Oscar Pauzhi, 54, was walking north on Atlantic Avenue and 107th Street at around 9 p.m. in the borough's Richmond Hill section.
Pauzhi, who lived half a mile away from where he was struck, was found lying on the road with severe head trauma, according to authorities.
Investigators discovered that the car that struck Pauzhi was driving west along on the four-lane avenue when it collided with him.
Emergency workers took Pauzhi to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police said driver remained on the scene after the accident, and that there were no arrests made as authorities consider the investigation ongoing.
