Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted for three bank robberies in Manhattan.
James Walton, 40, allegedly robbed three banks this month and has gotten away with about $3,400, police said. In each of the incidents, he passed a note to a teller demanding money.
He first struck at an HSBC Bank on Fifth Avenue in the Flatiron District on March 6, police said.
On March 8, he robbed a Capital One Bank on Broadway on the Upper West Side.
The most recent robbery occurred on March 17 when Walden allegedly robbed a Capital One Bank in the West Village near NYU.
All three robberies occurred in the late morning or early afternoon.
Police described Walton as 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
