Police are seeking a suspect who allegedly beat and sexually assaulted a 45-year-old woman inside her business on Sunday morning.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect enter the business, on the 100 block of North 9th Street in Chinatown, through the front door carrying a plastic bag with an unknown object inside on Oct. 5 around 8 a.m.
The suspect then forced the female back into the rear of the building where he beat her with the apparently heavy object in the plastic bag before forcing her into an office and sexually assaulting her.
The suspect stole $600 before fleeing the business.
The victim sustained head lacerations and was treated at Jefferson Hospital.
THe suspect is described as a white male, about 25 years old, with short brown hair, a light bear, a light-colored baseball cap, red jacket, dark pants and white sneakers.
