A police officer shot an armed robber during a scuffle Saturday in Northeast Philadelphia, reports said.
According to NBC 10, the officer intercepted a robbery in progress, in which the suspect ripped off two men and ran, on Ditman Street around 11 p.m.
As police yelled for him to stop, the man whipped out a shotgun, and as he pointed it at police, an officer fired and hit the suspect five times, police said.
As of Sunday, the robber is in critical condition at Frankford Torresdale Hospital.
Neither of the two officers were injured.
