Philadelphia police shot at a teen suspect in Parkside early Wednesday after the 19-year-old reportedly brandished a pellet gun during a chase.
The incident began as a routine curfew stop just before midnight near 51st and Master streets, NBC10 reports.
The 19-year-old man allegedly pulled out what two police officers thought was a handgun during a foot chase. One officer opened fire after he and his partner caught up to the teen on the 5000 block of Kershaw Street and observed him pointing the weapon at them, according to NBC10.
The teen was located hiding on a rooftop a short time later after a police helicopter was called in to provide lighting. He was not injured.
