Police: Toddler falls from third story window and is unharmed

A 15-month-old toddler miraculously survived a three-story fall in Northeast Philadelphia yesterday.

Police said the child was leaning against a window screen on the third floor of an apartment on the 2300 block of Tremont Street around 2:40 p.m. when the screen gave way. He was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital, but was released with no major injuries.

A police spokeswoman said that a patch of bushes underneath the window cushioned the child’s fall.
