A Port Authority police officer busted a man carrying a Samurai sword in Lower Manhattan Friday night.
Straphangers exiting the subway near Watts Street told officer James Dunphy there was a man in the station armed with a sword around 8:30 p.m., Port Authority police said.
After investigating, Dunphy saw a man holding a Samurai sword inside its sheath and followed him to Barclay and Church Streets in Tribeca.
Dunphy arrested Orlando Lassiter, 51, without incident.
There were no injuries, Port Authority police said.
Lassiter, believed to be homeless, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and disorderly conduct.
The sword is 27-inches long.
