Pregnant woman shot in Yonkers

A pregnant woman was shot in Yonkers on Thursday night, and her baby was delivered via Cesarean section.

The woman was shot around 8:40 p.m. in an apartment building at 541 Bronx River Rd, the New York Post reports. The woman was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx where doctors were able to deliver her baby with an emergency C-section. The baby is in stable condition.

There is no word yet on the mother’s condition or the motive of the shooting.
